Vision

Dream              Reach                Achieve

Whittington Green is a truly inclusive school and our vision is to ensure that every member of our school community is inspired, engaged and challenged to achieve at the highest possible level.  At the heart of everything we do is a strong moral purpose to ensure all students have access to the highest quality education and enrichment experiences.  We are relentlessly ambitious for our students in their future aspirations and we want their success to go beyond academic achievement.

The school aims to ensure that our students leave as healthy, secure and independent individuals who have a love of learning and are ready to make a personal contribution to society, living with honesty, confidence and integrity.

Every student will Dream big, Reach for the stars and Achieve their goals.

Our aim is to:

Provide an exciting learning environment where students feel safe, happy and valued and therefore attendance will be above national average. We will meet the educational, emotional and social needs of all our students, regardless of their starting point and this will result in us being judged good or better by Ofsted.

Empower our students to become confident, creative and questioning individuals who are strong leaders and equally effective team players

Ensure all of our staff are a dedicated, aspirational and well supported team who provide exceptional experiences for all of our students with all teaching to be at least good with a high proportion of outstanding.

Invest in high quality professional development and support the well-being of all our staff

Promote high standards of achievement and attainment – our students will be academically well qualified with a breadth of experience and knowledge that has maximised all their talents and aptitudes.  They will achieve at or above what is expected of them nationally in regard to their starting point.

Progress for learners with DSEN, who are looked after, who are eligible for free school meals or are from an ethnic minority group will be in line with or above national expectation.

Give our students access to a challenging, broad and balanced curriculum which supports our students to fill the gaps which are the result of lost learning due to the pandemic, including regular and frequent opportunities to participate in high quality extracurricular enrichment experiences and an outstanding personal development and careers programme.

Promote equality of opportunity for all members of the school community and celebrate diversity.

Manage resources effectively and efficiently, ensuring value for money.

Build trusting and informed relationship with parents/ carers and the local community through working in a true partnership with a supportive family of schools and other stakeholders.
