Rihanna's Sporting Achievement
Year 10 student, Rihanna was selected to represent Chesterfield in the Triple Jump at the Derbyshire Athletics Championships at Moorways Stadium Derby on Saturday 10th June.
Rihanna who was competing in the intermediate girls section (Y10 – 11) jumped 9.69m winning her first place in the event. A great achievement for a Y10 competing against Y11 girls. Rihanna is relatively new to the Triple Jump but won the Chesterfield Schools Athletics Championships last year with a jump of 9.81m and has a PB in practice of 10.60m
Rihanna is also a fine sprinter who came second in the Chesterfield Schools championship in the 100m.
