Whittington Green School Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably experienced Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant – Literacy.  The post will involve complimenting the work of teachers by supporting students in lessons and the successful applicant will be expected to prepare, deliver and evaluate work with small groups of students to improve the performance of those who begin KS3 below the expected standard and close the gap between disadvantaged and non disadvantaged.

Your key responsibility will be for the provision of a full and rich learning experience, primarily to support students to develop their literacy using Bedrock vocabulary and the delivery of inference training.

Previous experience of working with students with a variety of learning needs is essential.

Tuesday – Friday 11.00am – 2.00pm

Weeks per year: Term time only

If no weeks per year are stated the salary quoted will be based on a 52 week contract.
